Thanks again for all your help and I'll give a thumbs-up for all the help but won't post it here as I'm afraid that It will close the case before I can report back. I'll leave this problem open for awhile until I take it in for repair and then report back on this link with the solution. Really hate to take it in as the only problem seems to be printing envelopes. I did purchace a 1-year warranty (it probably covers everything except printing envelopes) so I'll see if I can use it. I thought I could identify and fix the problem myself (with help), but it looks like I might have to take it in for repair. I did however, remove the duplexer and tried to print an envelope and it did look like it might have printed crooked, hard to really tell since the duplexer seems to be needed to successfully print any page or envelope. ![]() I'm leaning to believe it really might be a mechanical issue but I can't see any obvious part malfunction when I look in the back and underneath the printer when it prints, notlhing seems to be "binding". I cleaned the rollers but it didn't make any difference and they appeared clean before I did the application. I've tried two different types of #10 envelopes, both print crooked and they printed correctly on my old OfficeJet Pro L7680. My frustrations have ended-cockpit error. This is what you should read first in the User Guide (manual) for printing envelopes for the 8600 printer: IF YOU USE MS WORD TO PRINT ENVELOPES AND LABELS IT MAY BE CONFUSING AS IT SHOWS 6 FEED METHODS AVAILABLE, IF YOU CHOOSE THE ONE (FOURTH FROM THE RIGHT) IT SHOWS THE ENVELOPE BEING IN THE MIDDLE AND THE TIP OF THE FLAP FACING RIGHT, THIS WILL CAUSE THE PRINTING TO BE UPSIDE DOWN ON THE ENVELOPE. ALSO, you must insert the envelope(s) face down with the tip of the flap pointing towards the right, just as the graphics on the bottom of the tray show. On the 8600 model you MUST remove any paper in the tray and load the envelopes in the center, adjusting the sides to the envelope size. If the Test Page is skewed, go to STEP 5. Print a Test Print by pressing MENU, 4 (Printer), 2 (Print Options), 3 (Test Print) and COLOR START. What can I do First verify if the issue is happening when printing or when copying from ADF. This had always worked before with no problems and the envelopes printed correctly, even though you could have used the tray and adjusted the sides to accept the correct envelope size (I never tried that). What can I do Back My printed documents are slanted, skewed, or crooked. That model allowed me to print envelopes by putting the envelopes on top of the paper I already had in the tray, putting the envelopes on the far right side face down. I'd been under the assumption (wrongly) that OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus would print envelopes the same as my previous HP OfficeJet Pro L7680.
